For the past 4 years, in addition to providing winter training to our Grove Place clients, we have also provided hunter and jumper instruction to Chicago area “A” circuit show riders who are in between Florida visits or whose trainers are in Florida for the WEF season.

New Expanded Program
This year we are expanding our program to include instruction in additional disciplines and for all levels of riding experience.  Our aim is to provide you that extra practice and training on outstanding and talented horses and ponies to help you stay sharp in between shows and/or show seasons.  It is also an ideal opportunity for you to safely and comfortably improve you riding experience and should you so wish, advance to the higher levels and be ready for the next show season.

Give Your Horses A Well Deserved Break
Some of our previous riders have taken this opportunity to give their own horses a well deserved break for the winter.  That way their own horses start the new season fresh and rested, yet as riders they remain in top form.

Horses For Every Level and Discipline
We will continue to offer the highest level of instruction as always.  However, this year we have the horses to expand our program to include additional riders who compete in other disciplines and even beginners to the sport.

When and Where?
Starting Saturday, December 5, 2009 and continuing most Saturdays and Sundays through March, 2010 we will be offering group lessons to riders at all levels.  Riders will be given an appropriate horse and will ride in a small group at their experience and competence level.  You do not need to come on a regular schedule, however, most people do.

More Details
The lessons are 30 minutes and charge is $50.00 for beginner riders.   Intermediate and advanced lessons will be 45 minutes and the charge will be $75.00  This includes a fully prepared and tacked up horse and instruction in our state of the art indoor facility.

FAQ

Schedule a telephone or in person interview with Lisa to determine which level will be most appropriate.
Do I bring my own tack?
We suggest you bring your own saddle, however, one will be provided if you do not.
How should I come dressed?
Britches, boots or half chaps, approved helmet.
Who are the instructors?
Lisa Anderson and Steve Schaefer.  Feel free to check out our background info on this website.  As an additional benefit, we will be offering “guest instruction” by other top rated, local professionals.
What are the horses and ponies like?
This is a great opportunity to ride proven champions.  Our horses are actually the teachers!  We are fortunate enough to own an amazing group of horses and ponies from 16.3 h to 12.2 h, each of them show quality individuals with impressive “A” circuit show records.  These are not your typical “school horses.”  They are quality trained, experienced, safe and sound.
